Please join Chef Felicia Cocotzin Ruiz, a natural foods activist, teacher, and private chef with deep family roots in northern New Mexico (Tiwa, Mexican, Spanish), for an inspiring and transformative workshop on how to "Create An Indigenous Pantry."
Ancestral foods have greatly influenced Chef Felicia's culinary style, and more importantly, allowed her to see indigenous foods as models of nutrition. Her kitchen is where she translates her cultural knowledge into modern dishes that nourish, heal, stimulate, and delight the palate. Its also a space where she prepares dishes using flavors and techniques that she's acquired from her travels around the world, as well as her experience as a restauranteur.
Topics covered in workshop:
-“My protest takes place in the kitchen”
-incorporating nutrient dense plants into your diet
-reconnecting to your ancestral foods
-Sick Care vs Health Care
